We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Underwriter to join the Underwriting team at Victor. This role offers the flexibility of hybrid working while providing on-site underwriting support to our brokers across various locations.

As an Agricultural Underwriter, you will focus on underwriting activities related to our Farm Combined and Farm Motor products. You will play a key role in executing our company strategy, contributing to achieving financial goals while delivering exceptional customer service. Your expertise will be essential in managing key agricultural broker accounts, ensuring they receive outstanding service and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement underwriting strategy across all products, aligned with our risk appetite.
  • Directly impact financial KPIs by balancing revenue growth with underwriting profitability.
  • Uphold Victor’s service standards on all authorized products, ensuring Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles are embedded in all activities.
  • Analyze distribution trends and broker behaviors to inform underwriting decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong, in-person relationships with brokers, fostering trust and collaboration.
  • Manage quality assurance and peer reviews to identify opportunities for underwriting and product improvements.
  • Stay informed on market trends and developments within your industry segments.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with capacity partners.

  • Proven experience in Agricultural Underwriting with a history of holding underwriting authority.
