Agricultural Recruitment Specialists Ltd is seeking an Agricultural Software Specialist to support farm management software and hardware solutions. You will work with the sales team to deliver technical advice, product demonstrations and tailored solutions for farming businesses.

The role focuses on enabling customers to understand how technology improves farm efficiency, livestock management and business performance, with flexible remote or West Somerset office work.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of farm management software or agricultural technology preferred.
• Experience delivering software/hardware demonstrations.
• Excellent communication, presentation and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office is beneficial.

Agricultural Software Specialist -West Somerset or Remote - Circa £40,000 + Commission + Benefits

The Job:

An established agricultural technology business is looking for an Agricultural Software Specialist to support its range of farm management software and hardware solutions. Working alongside the sales team, you will provide technical advice, demonstrate products and help farming businesses find the right solutions for their needs. The role is focused on helping customers understand how technology can improve farm efficiency, livestock management, traceability and business performance, rather than direct sales prospecting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop strong knowledge of the company's agricultural software and hardware products
• Support the sales team with technical advice and product demonstrations
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable solutions
• Explain product features, integrations and reporting capabilities
• Show customers how technology can support livestock management, compliance and productivity
• Assist with technical queries, proposals and quotations
• Attend customer meetings, agricultural shows and industry events
• Support customer onboarding, training and software adoption
• Work with internal teams to share customer feedback and identify product improvements
• Keep up to date with developments in agricultural technology and competing products

The Candidate:

• A strong interest in agriculture and technology, with an understanding of farming operations
• Knowledge of farm management software, livestock systems or agricultural technology
• Confidence delivering software and hardware demonstrations and explaining technical information clearly
• Strong communication, presentation and problem solving skills
• Ability to understand customer requirements and recommend practical solutions
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems
• Customer-focused approach, with the ability to build relationships across the farming industry
• Experience in software support, pre-sales, customer success, product specialism or agricultural technology would be beneficial
• Experience in livestock production, farm data management, software implementation, customer training or technology integrations would be advantageous
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

The Package:

• Salary circa £40,000 per annum DOE
• Additional commission earning potential
• Flexible working, either remotely or from the West Somerset office
• 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays

• Monday to Friday, generally 08:00 - 17:00 with some flexibility available

Candidate Requirements

All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
