Agricultural Service Technician

Job Description:

Here at Contract Personnel, we are recruiting an experienced Agricultural Service Technician to join a well-established, market-leading machinery supplier. The successful candidate will work as part of a well-trained and experienced team, based at our client’s Essex branch.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring maintenance and repairs are carried out on machinery sold by our client within the designated region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose faults and perform maintenance on agricultural machinery and related equipment
• Diagnose electrical and hydraulic faults using the latest software tools
• Complete repairs, whether chargeable, under warranty, or internal
• Maintain accurate documentation, including job cards, mileage, and time records
• Maintain good relationships with customers and suppliers
• Work independently on solo jobs and collaboratively on larger projects
• Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols
• Maintain a good level of health and fitness
• Be self-motivated and complete tasks within deadlines
• Present a professional appearance, including clean uniform and equipment
• Be competent with basic computer applications (Word, Excel)
• Hold a valid driving license with no more than 3 points

Additional Information:

• Contract: Permanent, full-time
• Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with 1 hour unpaid lunch each day
• Overtime paid at 1.5x after 39 hours/week
• Salary: Competitive, based on experience, paid hourly, plus a company car
