Job description

Here at Contract Personnel, we are recruiting an experienced Agricultural Service Technician to join a well-established, market-leading machinery supplier. As a successful candidate, you will work as part of a well-trained and experienced team, based at our client’s Essex branch.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring maintenance and repairs are carried out on machinery sold by our client within the allocated region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose faults and perform maintenance on agricultural machinery, including electrical and hydraulic systems using the latest software packages.
• Complete repairs, whether chargeable, under warranty, or internal.
• Maintain accurate documentation such as job cards, mileage, and time cards.
• Maintain good relations with customers and suppliers.
• Work independently on solo jobs and collaboratively on larger projects.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times.
• Ensure personal appearance and equipment are clean and professional.
• Use basic computer systems (Word, Excel) effectively.
• Hold a valid driving license with no more than 3 points.

Additional Information:

• Contract: Permanent, full-time
• Hours: 39 hours/week, Monday to Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm, Friday 8:00am-4:00pm, with 1-hour unpaid lunch daily
• Overtime paid at 1.5x after 39 hours/week
• Salary: Competitive, based on experience, paid hourly, includes a company car
