Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised, part-time Agricultural & Rural Sales Advisor to provide Maternity Cover within our dynamic team at our BROCK, Nr PRESTON Country Store.

This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about serving and supporting the Rural and Agricultural industry and who wants to assist with the day to day running of the country store alongside an established team, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and standards are achieved as well as actively promoting and driving sales. This role is 24 hours per week.

While delivering excellent service, supporting store operations, and driving sales, your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Sales & Customer Engagement: Proactively promote and sell a wide range of products both in-store and over the phone, with a focus on maximising profitability and meeting customer needs.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Provide outstanding service to both internal and external customers by understanding their requirements, offering honest advice, and delivering effective solutions.
  • Operational Support: Assist with loading customer orders and carrying out manual handling tasks safely and efficiently, always working within your capabilities.
  • Flexible Team Support: Contribute to the smooth running of the branch by completing daily tasks and supporting other areas such as the warehouse or deliveries when needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure effective communication and seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Store Presentation & Stock: Help maintain high standards across the store and ensure stock levels are monitored and replenished in coordination with the Branch Manager.
  • Brand Representation: Uphold and promote the company's brand, values, and commitment to quality service and recognised business standards.
  • Compliance & Safety: Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to health, safety, and the environment. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry assurance schemes such as UFAS, FIAS, and NOPS.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Excellent customer service skills, with an appreciation for our customer base.
  • An organised approach to work and able to work using own initiative.
  • Knowledge of Agriculture is a must.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a retail environment
  • Be a proactive and practical problem solver.
  • Demonstrate a flexible approach to work
  • A willingness to take on additional tasks & responsibilities.
  • Team player, with a genuine interest in helping others.

Desirable:

  • Holds a full UK driving licence.
  • AMTRA qualification, but training can be given to achieve this.
  • Confident and competent user of Microsoft applications systems and fully IT literate.
  • Previous experience of using D365
