As an Agriculture & Rural Network Loss Adjuster, you'll investigate and agree losses on behalf of specialist rural insurance companies across the Northwest. These claims could range from damage to domestic homes, commercial claims, agriculture and potentially anything in between.

You`ll work as part of a specialist team of Loss Adjusters and Claims professionals. You will be supported by a dedicated, local team of experienced staff, all focused on delivering an unrivalled customer experience.

You`ll be given full autonomy to use your initiative, empathy and understanding to customers - literally putting yourself in their shoes, but also using your business acumen to provide the right outcome.

This role demands a keen eye for detail, a compassionate heart, and a strategic mind. If you thrive on challenges and want to make a tangible difference, this could be your next step.

The skills you will have when you apply:

  • A full UK driving licence: It is essential you can travel by car.
  • Excellent communication skills: You'll speak with and write to policyholders, insurers, contractors, and more. You’ll explain complex details clearly and negotiate fair settlements for all.
  • Problem-solving abilities: You should be able to identify and solve problems efficiently.
  • Time management: As you’ll be planning your own week you must effectively manage your time, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines. You will be required to handle multiple claims simultaneously.
  • What is helpful, but not vital, in your application:

  • Loss adjusting experience is preferred.
  • Use of Apple software such as iPads, or other tablets.
  • Have an understanding of how a home insurance policy operates and the basic make up of a domestic property.
  • The skills that will be developed once working:

  • We will provide all the Sedgwick specific training you need to thrive in this role.
  • What we’ll give you for this role:

    Remuneration & more

  • Competitive salary taking into account skills, experience and qualifications
  • A Self Invested Personal Pension Scheme (SIPP)
  • You will join an appropriate incentive (bonus) scheme
  • Fully funded company vehicle or cash in lieu allowance
  • Holiday allowance of 25 days plus bank holidays
  • Flexible working from our office or your home
  • Health & support

  • Private healthcare plan (including pre-existing conditions)
  • Life assurance
  • Employee assistance programme for employee wellbeing
  • Group Income Protection
  • Other benefits

  • Voluntary benefits – dental cover, cycle to work scheme, season ticket loan, welling and digital GP applications
  • Discounts on various products and services
  • This isn't just a position, it's a pivotal role in shaping our industry

At Sedgwick, not only will you be working behind the scenes for some of the UK's most trusted insurance brands helping to resolve millions of claims every year, you'll also be an architect of tomorrow's insurance landscape with Sedgwick University.
