The Role
You will work on a wide range of agricultural property matters and play an important part in supporting, maintaining, and growing a high-quality caseload. This is a fantastic opportunity for a legal professional with a genuine passion for agricultural law to grow their career in a specialist team with great prospects for development.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle a broad mix of agricultural work including:
Farm Business Tenancies and Agricultural Holdings Act Tenancies
Acquisition and sale of farms and rural property
Easements, transfers, and renewables-related property work
Auction packs, SDLT, Land Registry and Companies House submissions
Act as a point of contact for clients and agents
Promote the team’s expertise through marketing and business development activity
Maintain accurate time records, ensure billing compliance, and manage financial performance of files
Maximise cross-referrals with other teams and service lines
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
A qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive OR demonstrable experience in agricultural, residential, or commercial property
Strong interest in or passion for agricultural law
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
Sound knowledge of AML regulations and the Solicitors Accounts Rules
Confident using MS Office and case management systems
Desirable:
Experience with Visual Files or SOS Connect
Business development and marketing experience
Strong presentation and public speaking skills
Details:
Hours:09:00 – 17:15, Monday to Friday (36.25 hours/week)
Location:Flexible across any of our 8 office locations in Lincolnshire and the Midlands
Salary:Competitive, depending on experience
Travel:A full UK driving licence and access to a car is required
