Job description

Our client is a long-standing family business that has been in the Agricultural and Ground Care industry for over 100 years. They are seeking an Agricultural Service Engineer to service JCB machinery and other agricultural equipment in the Stratford-Upon-Avon area. They offer a competitive salary of up to £42,000, a company vehicle, and plenty of overtime opportunities.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a range of JCB Agriculture equipment as well as several other manufacturers.

Responsibilities:

1. Service and maintain JCB and other agricultural machinery according to manufacturer specifications to ensure machine reliability and safety.
2. Report machine defects and upsell the services provided by the company where possible.
3. Diagnose and rectify electrical, hydraulic, powertrain, and other faults prior to completing repairs.
4. Operate diagnostic software via a laptop (training provided).
5. Complete detailed reports of work, including photographs and time documentation.
6. Understand GPS, Telematics, and machine controllers.
7. Ensure returned machines are complete and undamaged after demonstrations.
8. Consult with service departments on operational matters.
9. Prepare for shows, open days, and working events.
10. Attend factory training days when available.

Minimum Requirements:

1. At least 3 years of experience with various machinery, ideally in agricultural, commercial vehicle, or construction industries.
2. Full UK driving license.
3. Availability for weekend work when required.

Agricultural Service Engineer Salary & Benefits:

• 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with a 1-hour lunch break.
• 23 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
