Our UK Aviation business has traditionally focused on airfield and civil infrastructure engineering. We aim to diversify our services and expand our regional presence, with Aviation Infrastructure remaining central to our business opportunities and revenue.

We are seeking an AGL Associate Director / Technical Director to grow our project pipeline, lead and expand the team. You will develop proposals, oversee technical design, and manage projects across the UK and internationally, focusing on modern, sustainable aviation systems with reduced carbon footprints for airport clients.

Location: Open to across the UK.

Current & Upcoming Projects:
  • Airfield upgrades and rehabilitation projects in civil and military markets.
  • Major overseas airport bids.
  • Ongoing work with UK and international clients.
  • Regular airfield asset inspections domestically and abroad.
Responsibilities:
  • Deliver: Oversee AGL projects within civil and military airfields, managing existing clients, growing the project pipeline, and expanding the team.
  • Oversee: Provide technical guidance and project oversight, including design delivery, stakeholder engagement, and quality assurance.
  • Provide Expertise: Support design teams and clients on multidisciplinary projects from conception to handover.
  • Ensure Quality: Review and approve design outputs, interpret and apply aviation standards such as ICAO, EASA, CAA, FAA, and Military Regulations.
  • Collaborate: Work with multidisciplinary engineers and broader teams to deliver integrated solutions and build strong client relationships.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in delivering AGL and electrical design within airport environments, airfield operations, and airport engineering at a senior level.
  • Leadership in AGL project delivery, resource management, and client engagement.
  • Knowledge of the aviation AGL marketplace, including contacts with suppliers and specialists.
  • Practical understanding of airports and emerging technologies.
  • Experience working with UK and European clients in the AGL sector.
