Placements24 is seeking an experienced Agile Project Manager to lead software development teams through the full lifecycle in a hybrid Gauteng-based role, blending remote work with office collaboration in Tembisa.

You will guide teams using Scrum and Kanban, facilitate ceremonies, manage scope and timelines with product owners, and report progress to leadership while driving continuous improvement and agile maturity.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Agile Project Management or Scrum Master in software.
• Deep knowledge of Scrum and Kanban.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with Jira/Confluence.
• CSM or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional development teams in adopting Agile/Scrum.
• Facilitate sprint ceremonies including planning, daily standups, reviews and retrospectives.
• Manage scope, priorities and timelines with product owners and stakeholders.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks and impediments.
• Develop and maintain sprint backlogs, burndown charts and velocity reports.
• Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure clear communication between teams, product management and stakeholders.
• Contribute to evolution of agile practices within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Agile Project Manager or Scrum Master in a software development environment.
• Deep understanding of Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate development teams.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage stakeholder relationships.
• Experience with project management tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or similar Agile certification is preferred.
• Experience in managing hybrid remote and in-office teams.
