Job description

This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.

Codurance is a global software consultancy dedicated to elevating the software industry's standards. We thrive on supporting tech communities and collaborating closely with our clients to build exceptional digital products, modernise legacy systems, and cultivate a culture of continuous value delivery through quality practices and expertise.

At Codurance, software craftsmanship is the cornerstone of our organisation. We take pride in our tailored approach for each client, emphasising not only delivering value but also leaving a lasting, positive impact. Since our founding, we've been deeply involved in the software craftsmanship community, fostering a vibrant spirit of collaboration and innovations.

Requirements

We are seeking an Agile Delivery Manager who shares our values of pragmatism, professionalism, and transparency. In this role, you will lead client projects using our team delivery approach, whether it's a greenfield project for a startup or a mission-critical system for a large enterprise client. Collaborating with our embedded Software Craftspeople, you'll enhance our client's software delivery processes and bring their core product to market. This role provides a significant opportunity to instil agile and software craftsmanship values within organisations by showcasing best practices.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring that the team is well-equipped, focused, and supported to meet their commitments. You will coach and mentor the team to foster a cohesive and healthy culture, align the team with client goals, and build a strong and trusting relationship with clients. Proactive management of risks, issues, and dependencies will be key to our success. Your work will be driven by sound reasoning, clear KPIs, and a collaborative mindset.

This role will also involve helping the client and team develop a shared vision and strategy, translating it into a roadmap and an effective backlog. You will be responsible for facilitating resolution and guiding the client toward the right focus.

What About You

This role is ideal for someone experienced in managing roadmaps and project plans and is skilled at working with diverse stakeholders, even in challenging situations. You are a team player who understands the value of fostering strong relationships with everyone involved in a project, from development teams to technical and business stakeholders.

You believe in and champion agile processes, even when they require teaching and challenging mindsets. You prioritise people and collaboration over documentation and processes, but recognise the necessity of discipline and rigour in all aspects of software development. You understand the significance of leadership at all levels, taking ownership of delivery while empowering and equipping the team to find the most effective path forward.

If you're ready to be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team dedicated to excellence in software delivery, we'd love to hear from you.

Benefits

  • Personal learning budget - access to Learnerbly, our online learning and development tool, to support your personal development and career progression here
  • Training - no fixed training budget. So long as the course is relevant for the company and you'll do a lightning talk on the subject, we're happy to pay for it
  • Life cover and private medical - Long term sickness cover. Private medical cover including dental, hearing and optical
  • Long service awards - two additional days of holiday when you enter your third year (on top of 25 days), two additional days after five years, two additional days after eight years (31 days in total) and a month fully paid sabbatical after ten years of service
  • Pension (4% top-up) and income protection - Option to choose from an employer pension top-up to 5% or a holiday voucher for the value of £1000 after 5 years of service. 8% pension top-up or a holiday voucher for the value of £2000 after 8 years of service
  • Employee assistance program (EAP) including access to well-being support (counselling, therapy)
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Electric car and cycle to work scheme

Everyone should have the right to bring their whole self to work and be celebrated for who they are. Our people are hired purely on their commitment to these values and their ambition to deliver outstanding results for our clients. Codurance is proud to be an Equal Opportunities Employer and is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace.
