Agile Delivery Manager
Location: Onsite - Newcastle-upon-Tyne
Brown & Brown UK is seeking an Agile Delivery Manager to lead and provide agile expertise to 2-3 matrix-managed teams (14 to 21 people). The role involves fulfilling Scrum Master duties and broader project management responsibilities to ensure high-quality delivery of epics planned for 2025 that meet customer expectations.
The day-to-day responsibilities:
- Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives to promote team alignment and continuous improvement.
- Translate business strategies into actionable project roadmaps and delivery plans.
- Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and technical teams to define and prioritize backlogs.
- Remove impediments to achieve sprint and project goals.
- Implement and track agile metrics and reporting.
- Foster effective communication across multidisciplinary teams.
- Coach teams in agile best practices and develop their capabilities.
- Manage dependencies between different project streams.
- Complete at least 15 hours of professional development annually.
- Escalate complex issues to senior management when necessary.
- Coordinate with various business areas to ensure project alignment and delivery.
- Develop and deliver strategies to enhance organizational agile capabilities.
- Update senior management on project status, risks, and milestones.
- Engage with external partners and vendors to manage interfaces and dependencies.
About you:
- Agile certification (e.g., PSM, PMP, SAFe)
- Proven success in agile delivery
- Strong leadership and coaching skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Strategic thinking and change management
- Deep knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
- Knowledge of insurance and policy administration systems
- Experience with Jira
