Job Description:

Agile Delivery Manager

Location: Onsite - Newcastle-upon-Tyne

Brown & Brown UK is seeking an Agile Delivery Manager to lead and provide agile expertise to 2-3 matrix-managed teams (14 to 21 people). The role involves fulfilling Scrum Master duties and broader project management responsibilities to ensure high-quality delivery of epics planned for 2025 that meet customer expectations.

The day-to-day responsibilities:
  • Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives to promote team alignment and continuous improvement.
  • Translate business strategies into actionable project roadmaps and delivery plans.
  • Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and technical teams to define and prioritize backlogs.
  • Remove impediments to achieve sprint and project goals.
  • Implement and track agile metrics and reporting.
  • Foster effective communication across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Coach teams in agile best practices and develop their capabilities.
  • Manage dependencies between different project streams.
  • Complete at least 15 hours of professional development annually.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior management when necessary.
  • Coordinate with various business areas to ensure project alignment and delivery.
  • Develop and deliver strategies to enhance organizational agile capabilities.
  • Update senior management on project status, risks, and milestones.
  • Engage with external partners and vendors to manage interfaces and dependencies.
