About the role

We are currently recruiting an Agile Coach to sit within the Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Strategy and Agile. Our team consists of 8 Agile Coaches, along with the Technical Product Owner Chapter and Product Tribe Product Owner Chapter.

You will help train squads and tribes on Agile frameworks, oversee their development, and ensure successful Agile adoption at Tesco Mobile to meet our OKRs. The focus is on guiding tribes to deliver value effectively with minimal dependencies.

The role involves guiding teams through Agile implementation, promoting an Agile mindset, and equipping teams with the necessary knowledge and tools to maximize Agile potential.

Responsibilities
  1. Mentor teams to enhance performance, foster psychological safety, and mature Agile ways of working.
  2. Support individual learning and potential unlocking.
  3. Promote self-organization, team spirit, and continuous improvement within squads/tribes.
  4. Assist the business in applying appropriate practices based on current work context.
  5. Guide teams to achieve goals and improve business performance while maintaining value alignment.
  6. Lead onboarding for squads to ensure collaboration and foundational training on ways of working.
  7. Facilitate key squad ceremonies and events to promote good practice and readiness for self-management.
  8. Enable cross-squad and tribe collaboration, and help identify organizational challenges.
  9. Support tribe-level events like planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  10. Foster an inclusive culture, role model key behaviors, and care for colleagues.
  11. Help teams identify and resolve organizational, technical, or team impediments.
  12. Train squads on managing and tracking work to monitor progress.
  13. Support data-driven decision making and performance culture development.
Minimum requirements
  • Subject matter expertise in Agile domains, e.g., design thinking in product development.
  • Technical expertise in software development lifecycle, DevOps, and IT architecture.
  • Experience in mentoring and conflict resolution.
  • Effective communication skills across teams and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to personal mastery and continuous learning.
  • Ability to share knowledge and develop the coaching community.
  • Understanding of business levers, curiosity, and focus on early value delivery.
  • Prioritization skills to drive results and engagement with business partners.
