Job description
Overview

Are you a university graduate with the aspiration, enthusiasm, and talent to help us pioneer sustainable aerospace for a safe and united world? Airbus seeks bright minds from around the globe to fill critical roles that will shape our future. When you begin your career with us, we don't just offer a job; we accelerate your growth through the Airbus Global Graduate development journey. This two-year, personalized program cultivates professional skills, business acumen, and technical abilities, with a strong emphasis on developing leadership potential from day one. You'll contribute in a specific, impactful position while gaining a unique perspective on Airbus.

Beyond daily responsibilities and training, you'll join your global graduate community annually for a dedicated development week to connect with peers, learn from seasoned leaders, and gain industry insights. Throughout the program you will be developed into an established and valuable team member from day 1, sharpening skills in an area strategically important to Airbus, and learning about the Airbus business, opportunities, challenges, and needs. You will demonstrate capability and readiness to take on future leadership challenges within Airbus. Above all, you will have the opportunity to do your best work in an industry reshaping how we live in our world. If you're ready to embark on this transformative journey, apply below.

What you will be doing

You will be on a development pathway to guide your growth into the role of Flight Physics Graduate and can expect to be involved in the following:

  • Flight Physics is responsible for the overall aircraft design activities across all stages of aircraft development, from pre-design work to in-service support.
  • We are heavily involved in the definition of the next generation aircraft with our future project colleagues.
  • Flight Physics UK is made up of four departments (Aerodynamics, Loads and Aeroelastics, Mass Properties and Flight Physics Capabilities). They use tools and skills across CAD, coding languages, automation, and machine learning to complete tasks and develop new tools or processes.
  • The placements will be varied and require you to use different skills (technical, project management, communication, etc.) to complete them successfully.
  • By the end of the programme, the aim is that you are ready to progress, having demonstrated your value and gained knowledge about Airbus business, opportunities, challenges, and needs, and learned more about yourself and what makes you great.
  • There will be placements within Flight Physics, such as wind tunnel testing campaigns, collaboration with the Loads and Aeroelastics in-service team who analyse incidents around the world, and other activities; you will also have the opportunity to explore Airbus outside of Flight Physics.

Your development pathway will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into the position. Throughout the two-year development programme, you will develop into the position of a Flight Physics Engineer.
