Job summary

Hedgehog Lab, a UK digital product consultancy, is hiring an Agentic Solutions Engineer in Leeds (within 50 miles of multiple offices). You will be the first engineer on new client engagements, shaping architecture and tool choices, and delivering proof-of-concepts.

You'll work closely with clients to define the agentic engineering pipeline, ensure robust testing, and help teams scale the work. The role blends hands-on coding with strategic advisory.

Qualifications

• Real experience using AI agents to build production software and avoid generic copy-paste
• Ability to break down poorly defined problems and ship working solutions
• Strong TypeScript or Python across full stack with NestJS or FastAPI frameworks
• Experience meeting and presenting to clients directly
• Strong written communication for ADRs and docs used by teams
• Experience in consulting, professional services or forward-deployed roles

Responsibilities

• Turn customer goals into a solution architecture and technology choices
• Build proofs of concept that validate design and hand off cleanly
• Define the agentic engineering pipeline: tooling, workflows and guardrails for AI coding agents
• Shape the quality strategy, including test approach and code review
• Make other engineers more capable, pairing on real work and leaving patterns for client teams
• Own architectural decision records
