Huawei UKRD Edinburgh Office is seeking a Software Research Engineer to join the Retrieval and Agent Intelligence (RAI) team. You will work on advancing agentic AI technologies, with a focus on memory, planning, reasoning and multi-agent collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, AI, ML, NLP, Stats, Math or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on software engineering experience delivering complex systems.
• Strong foundation in LLM principles, agent architecture, cognition, planning and decision-making.

Responsabilités

• Design, build and refine research prototypes and production-grade services for agentic AI.
• Translate research findings into scalable engineering systems and robust software.
• Lead end-to-end engineering delivery from data prep to deployment and post-launch support.
• Collaborate with world-class researchers and cross-border teams to advance agentic AI technologies.
