Job summary

Elliptic is seeking a senior software engineer to design and build agent fleets, develop APIs, and optimize data models across relational and NoSQL databases. You will collaborate across engineering, product, and design to deliver a scalable platform from concept to production, contributing to observability and reliability for crypto market safety.

Job description

• Design and build agent fleets that automate core business processes
• Develop APIs and workflows integrating AI and LLM frameworks with business systems
• Design, optimize, and query data models across relational and NoSQL databases
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver an agentic platform from concept through production
• Partner with the Head of Business Transformation and VP of Operations
• Work iteratively with internal users to create user-friendly solutions for complex business processes
• Participate in technical design reviews, planning sessions, and code reviews
• Contribute to infrastructure and observability practices with the Engineering team
• Continuously improve quality, reliability, and usability across internal platforms
• Support Elliptic's mission to make crypto markets safer, more transparent, and more efficient

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience, preferably including Python
• 1 year of experience with LangSmith or another comparable LLM/AI framework; hands-on experience required
• Solid API design skills and experience building and maintaining production APIs
• Experience integrating APIs with external systems
• Production experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, and S3
• Experience with Helm charts and Kubernetes required
• SQL proficiency, particularly Postgres or similar
• Exposure to NoSQL databases
• Structured approach to problem-solving and system design trade-offs
• Strong collaboration and communication across engineering, product, and design
• Node.js framework experience such as NestJS or Express is nice to have
• Terraform or infrastructure-as-code experience is nice to have
• Datadog or similar observability platform experience is nice to have
• DynamoDB or other NoSQL database experience at scale is nice to have
• Distributed or event-driven architecture experience, including SNS or SQS, is nice to have
• Interest in cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, or compliance is nice to have
