SCS Railways in London is recruiting an Agent for the Earthworks & Structures Delivery Unit based at Euston. You will manage resources, drive works to progress in line with the contract programme, and uphold health, safety and environmental standards.
You will lead site engineering training, review contracts, develop plans and budgets, and coordinate with subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery on a complex HS2 package in central London.
We currently have a vacancy for an Agent within our Earthworks & Structures Delivery Unit, working in Euston.
The Euston Approaches delivery team are restarting works on Euston Scissor Box and Park Village East starting in early 2026.
The nature of the works involves top-down construction with a combination of piling, sheet piling, complex propping schemes, bulk earthworks, FRC and pre-cast concrete.
This scope of works is paired with the already ongoing works for Hampstead Road Bridge (HRB), Euston Throat Retained Cut (ETRC) and the finishing works on Granby Terrace Bridge (GTB) and Cavern Pre-TBM mitigation works.
As a result, we are now looking to use our experienced staff across the project to assist us in the delivery of this increased scope and remaining scope at Euston. This opportunity provides the potential for working in a unique environment within Central London, neighboured by live Network rail Infrastructure, live highways and occupied residential / commercial buildings.
About the role:
Take control of the management of resources within a section or area as designated by the Project Manager.
Lead and drive the Works to progress, in accordance with the Contract Programme, to best commercial advantage, without prejudice to the health and safety of employees, sub-contractors or the public at large and taking into full account environmental considerations.
Lead and drive the training and development of the Site Engineering team.
The role will work on the HS2 project. HS2 is the UK’s new high speed rail network. It will be a catalyst for economic growth across Britain, freeing up space on the existing railways and connecting 8 out of the UK’s 10 biggest cities with fast, reliable and frequent high speed services
The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
