Overview

Job Title: Agency Technician - Post Mortem

Location: Neston, Chester - Must be in commutable distance

Remuneration: £14.14/hour

Contract Details: Temporary - until December

Responsibilities
  • Join our dynamic team and play a vital role in the Post-Mortem Ward! As an Agency Technician, you will:
  • Assist in setting up post-mortem rooms and preparing carcasses for examination.
  • Support crucial post-mortem procedures, including opening and sampling carcasses.
  • Ensure cleanliness by disinfecting workspaces and equipment, upholding hygiene and safety standards.
  • Manage biological and clinical waste in alignment with university and legal protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with your team to ensure a smooth workflow and case management.
  • Maintain precise records of samples and procedures to uphold our high standards.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and biosecurity measures for a safe working environment.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Has previous experience in a post-mortem or a similar laboratory/clinical environment.
  • Possesses butchery skills or experience handling deceased carcasses.
  • Understands biological and clinical waste management protocols.
  • Can work with sensitivity and professionalism in a post-mortem setting.
  • Displays strong attention to detail and can follow established protocols.
  • Is comfortable working in a physically demanding and emotionally sensitive environment.
