Job summary

Clarksons is seeking a Ships Agent based in Liverpool to perform ship’s agency operations within a port environment. The role involves direct communication with customers, vessels and port authorities and assisting with cargo and vessel documentation.

You may be required to work outside normal hours on a rota and provide cover for other UK-based offices as needed, with additional ad hoc duties to support business needs.

Qualifications

  • Ship's agency and port operations experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proficient with MS Word and Excel.
  • Current, clean UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to undertake regular out-of-hours attendances.
  • Able to operate across UK offices as required.

Established ships agents with a reputation for excellence, our specialist team provide round the clock vessel agency and services to the Offshore energy and dry bulk sectors.

We are seeking a Ships Agent to be based in our Liverpool location, carrying out ship’s agency operations within a port environment.

What you’ll be doing

Other requirements
  • Current, clean, UK valid driving licence
  • Ships agency and/or port operations experience preferable but not mandatory.
  • Some experience or exposure within a shipping capacity would be helpful.
  • Confident, self-starter with the ability to communicate well with a wide range of individuals.
  • Ability to produce and maintain accurate paperwork.
  • Confident in the use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Ability to undertake regular out of hours attendances.
