Division Overview

Offering exceptional port agency and logistics services, we provide turnkey solutions for clients in the marine and energy sectors. Established ships agents with a reputation for excellence, our specialist team provide round the clock vessel agency and services to the Offshore energy and dry bulk sectors.

We are seeking a Ships Agent to be based in our Humber location, carrying out ship’s agency operations within a port environment.

What you’ll be doing

1. Carrying out ship’s agency operations duties.
2. Communicating with customers, vessels and port authorities and assisting in the preparation of cargo and vessel documentation.
3. Where needed, undertake work out of usual office hours on a rota basis. The role will also provide cover for other UK based offices as required.
4. To fulfil any additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Other requirements

1. Current, clean, UK valid driving licence
2. Ships agency and/or port operations experience preferable but not mandatory.
3. Some experience or exposure within a shipping capacity would be helpful.
4. Confident, self-starter with the ability to communicate well with a wide range of individuals.
5. Ability to produce and maintain accurate paperwork.
6. Confident in the use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
7. Ability to undertake regular out of hours attendances.
