Job summary

Tops Day Nurseries is seeking Agency Nursery Assistants to support nurseries across multiple locations. You will provide essential care and assistance to children aged 0-5, helping with daily routines and activities.

This flexible role is well-suited for individuals who enjoy variety and teamwork, making a positive impact on young lives. DBS checks and eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or 3 Early Years Qualification is desirable.
• Experience in a nursery or early years setting is desirable.
• Desire to support children’s development and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Assisting nursery staff in the care and supervision of children aged 0-5.
• Supporting daily routines such as feeding, changing, and toilet training.
• Engaging with children through fun and educational activities.
• Creating a safe, clean, and nurturing environment.
• Building positive relationships with children, parents, and nursery teams.
• Working across multiple nursery locations based on staffing needs.

What does the role involve?

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Because this role involves regulated activity with children, all candidates must:

• Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service. If you don’t yet have one, you’ll need to cover the cost.
• Be eligible to work in regulated roles- not on the Children’s Barred List.
• Successfully complete background and reference checks.
