Job description

We are hiring experienced temporary, 0-hour contract, adhoc Housekeepers / Room Attendants!

We pay GBP 12.50 PAYE per hour + holiday pay accrued as you work. Payments are made weekly: any hours worked from Monday to Sunday will be processed the following Monday, with payslips arriving via email on Thursday and payments in your bank account on Friday.

Our main contract is at an 83-room hotel in Northampton NN6. Rooms are maintained in teams of 2, typically comprising one permanent staff member and one agency worker during busy periods.

During a 6-hour shift, you will be expected to clean between 12 and 20 rooms in teams of 2.

Shifts are usually scheduled (Apply online only) or (Apply online only), and include a 30-minute break with a meal offered.

There is free and secure parking on-site.

Applicants should:

  • Have a proven history of hotel housekeeping and/or deep cleaning guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, vacuuming, dusting, restocking rooms, portering linen, laundering linen, emptying bins, replacing bin bags, cleaning en-suites and bathrooms, changing towels, and removing crockery or dinnerware.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle due to the location(s).
  • Have previous experience working as a Housekeeper or Room Attendant in a hotel.
  • Potentially have worked for hotels such as The Hilton, Premier Inn, Mercure, Travelodge, etc.
  • May have experience working in a Conference Centre as a Room Attendant or Housekeeper.
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team and build good relationships with colleagues.
  • Have a keen eye for detail and report repairs or replacements to the housekeeping or duty manager as needed.
  • Possess experience in cleaning common/public areas (optional).
  • Be flexible, adaptable, approachable, presentable, and professional.
