Job summary

Pentagon Motor Group is seeking an Aftersales Manager at our Scunthorpe site. The role focuses on leading a busy Aftersales team, delivering top-tier customer service and achieving profit objectives.

You will manage resources, develop business opportunities, and coach staff to improve performance while maintaining high standards of accuracy and organisation.

Qualifications

• Have previous Aftersales experience within the Retail Motor Industry.
• Be familiar with automotive systems, warranties, services and repairs.
• Able to lead, coach and motivate a team.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Allocate Aftersales resources within budgetary guidelines.
• Assess Parts stock levels and optimise opportunities.
• Achieve profit objectives negotiated within time frames.
• Identify opportunities to develop business and implement long-term plans.
• Plan and promote marketing events and promotions.
• Review monthly sales and profit performance with other department managers.
• Build rapport with external customers for long-term business.
• Provide positive customer experiences and lead by example.
• Coach and develop team members to improve performance.
• Plan workloads to match skills and priorities.
• Communicate visions and goals to all team members.

What will you be doing?

Main responsibilities for the role include:

• Allocating Aftersales resources in a cost-effective manner whilst remaining within budgetary guidelines, applying a flexible approach to the use of manpower and physical resources across divisions.
• Assessing Parts stock levels to identify opportunities for optimisation.
• Achieving profit objectives that have been negotiated within a specific time frame.
• Identifying opportunities to strategically develop the business and implementing long term plans.
• Planning, initiating and promoting marketing events and promotions.
• Reviewing the monthly sales and profit performance in co-operation with other department managers.
• Building a strong rapport and relationships with external customers to secure long term profitable business.
• Providing positive customer experiences in all instances, leading by example to promote a customer focused team performance.
• Coaching and developing the job-related skills of team members to support improvements in their job performance.
• Planning and adjusting the workloads of department personnel to match their skills and abilities, considering the shifting priorities of the department.
• Communicating visions and goals to all team members.

The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 08:00am - 18:00pm and alternate Saturdays Sat 0800am - 1300pm

• Have previous Aftersales experience working within the Retail Motor Industry.
• Be familiar with automotive systems, warranties, services, repairs.
• React to sense of timescales and urgency.
• Be able to lead, coach and motivate their team.
• Have exceptional customer service skills as well as strong communication skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to work to a high level of accuracy and have excellent organisational skills.
