Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Leveraging strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the Aftersales Data Analyst will gather, analyse and present data for use, primarily within the global Wireline & Flowline aftersales function. The role requires the application of tools and techniques for data analysis and data visualisation, including the use of business information tools, to assist the decision-making processes of our aftersales offerings across service, spares, rental, and training teams. The successful candidate will have a desire to demonstrate a keen eye for detail and strong time management skills, ensuring that data supplied is accurate, complete and delivered in a timely manner. The Aftersales Data Analyst will report directly to the Aftermarket Projects Manager.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Mine and analyse large datasets, draw valid inferences and present them successfully to end users.
  2. Monitor and audit data quality.
  3. Identify areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes.
  4. Setup and maintain automated data processes.
  5. Develop and support reporting processes.
  6. Liaise with internal and external clients to fully understand data content.
  7. Gather, understand and document detailed business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques.
  8. Prepare reports for internal and external audiences.
  9. Design and carry out surveys and analyse survey data.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Strong numeracy skills (essential)
  2. Fluency in English (essential)
  3. Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (desirable)


EXPERIENCE

  1. Experience in a similar role (desirable)
  2. Previous experience in managing and implementing data systems (desirable)
  3. Previous experience in the Energy industry (desirable)


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  1. Computer literacy (including an excellent command of Microsoft Office products) - especially MS Excel (essential)
  2. Excellent organisational and planning skills (essential)
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills (essential)
  4. The capacity to develop and document procedures and workflows (essential)
  5. The ability to carry out data quality control, validation and linkage (essential)
  6. The ability to produce clear graphical representations and data visualisations (essential)
  7. The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, gaining buy-in for projects and initiatives (essential)
  8. Ability to align system and data initiatives with business objectives (essential)
  9. Working knowledge of CRM and ERP systems (desirable)
  10. Familiarity of Microsoft SQL Studio (or equivalent) (desirable)
  11. An understanding of data protection issues (desirable)
  12. Experience in identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity and service delivery (desirable)
