Overview

We are looking for enthusiastic Healthcare Assistants to join a Nottingham care home, to support residents suffering with dementia and Alzheimer’s. The residents’ wellbeing is the top priority, and you will aid them in mobility and nutrition, among other duties. This is a rewarding role in a great setting, with responsibilities adapting as you get to know the residents.

Responsibilities
  • Support residents living with dementia and Alzheimer’s with daily activities while promoting wellbeing.
  • Aid with mobility and nutrition as part of holistic care.
  • Carry out domestic tasks as required.
  • Report condition updates to the care team and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
  • Follow care plans and ensure a safe, respectful environment for residents.
Qualificatons / Requirements
  • Proven experience within a similar care environment.
  • Checkable work history.
  • Up-to-date mandatory training: Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Moving and Handling, and Infection Control. If you do not have up-to-date certificates, online training can be offered (additional fee).
  • In-date enhanced DBS check; if your DBS has expired, arrangements can be made to obtain a new one.
  • We are unable to offer support for VISA applicants.

  • Typical hours: Saturday to Sunday, starting at 16:00 and finishing at 22:00.
  • Hourly rate: £12.55 plus up to 28 accrued holiday pay.
