Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Wigan seeks a Parcel Delivery Driver for a fixed term 9 month contract. The role is 30 hours per week, with shifts 15:00–21:00 across Mon–Sun, including 11:00–17:00 on Sundays.

You will prep your van, use route-planning tools and deliver parcels, working on a rota with Saturdays and Sundays as required. You should be self-motivated, organised and customer-focused, holding a full UK driving licence with up to 6 points.

Qualifications

• Must have a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Able to work in the afternoon and early evenings.
• Willing to deliver parcels across the assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Prep the van and workload for the day and use route-planning tools to optimise delivery.
• Deliver parcels across the week within the assigned area.
• Act as a positive ambassador for Royal Mail when interacting with customers.
• Adhere to Royal Mail business standards for handling and delivering items.
