Overview

This lovely family in St John’s Wood, London, is looking for an After-school Nanny to care for their two school-aged children. The role involves all general nanny duties. They are seeking a reliable and experienced nanny who is confident working with children of this age group. The ideal candidate will be fun, engaging, and kind, while also able to set clear boundaries when needed. The family would like someone who can help reinforce good habits, encourage tidiness, maintain routines, and create a supportive and structured after-school environment. A valid first-aid qualification is essential for this position.

Hiring date: 15 September 2025.

Working hours

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 2:55 pm to 6:30 pm / 7:00 pm, Wednesday: 1:55 pm to 6:30 pm / 7:00 pm (depending on after-school clubs). Total: approx. 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children
  • Washing, dressing, and supporting the children’s daily routines
  • Assisting with homework and educational activities
  • Engaging in after-school activities with the children
  • Organising recreational activities to support physical and mental development
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy environment for the children
  • Encouraging creativity through arts and crafts
  • Taking the children to parks, playgrounds, and other outings
  • Supporting bedtime routines, including reading stories
