Aftermarket Sales Account Executive

Location: Lutterworth, Leicestershire (Carl Zeiss IQS Ltd)

Department: Industrial Quality Solutions - Aftermarket

Reports to: Aftermarket Sales Lead

Are you a target‑driven sales professional with a knack for building lasting customer relationships and a passion for cutting‑edge metrology solutions? Join our expanding Aftermarket Sales team within the Metrology & Inspection division and help us deliver world‑class software, support agreements, training, accessories and retrofit solutions to our loyal customer base.

What You'll Do

  1. Territory Management: Own the end‑to‑end renewal process for software agreements, support contracts, training and accessories. Proactively engage customers to ensure high satisfaction, retention and contract coverage.
  2. New Business Generation: Self‑source and qualify leads via cold calling, networking and referrals. Develop and execute strategies to drive new opportunities across your territory.
  3. Customer Relationship Management: Build deep, consultative relationships to understand customers' needs. Leverage the full ZEISS portfolio to deliver tailored aftermarket offerings.
  4. Team Collaboration: Partner with colleagues across Sales, Technical Support and Applications to close deals and drive growth.
  5. Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate pricing, terms and contracts to secure mutually beneficial agreements. Overcome objections and consistently achieve closing targets.
  6. Performance Tracking & Reporting: Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales goals. Maintain accurate CRM records and use data to refine your approach.
  7. Product Mastery: Stay current on software releases, support offerings and accessory upgrades. Educate customers on new features and long‑term value.

Your Success Metrics

  1. Sales Performance: Achieve growth targets for renewals and new business.
  2. Contract Coverage: Maintain a high percentage of customers under active contract.
  3. Customer Retention & Satisfaction: Deliver excellent service and support.
  4. Reporting: Provide timely, accurate insights on sales pipeline and results.
  5. Team Contribution: Collaborate effectively to meet collective goals.

About You

  1. Proven Sales Track Record: Experience in Sales, Account Management or Business Development ideally within Aftersales.
  2. Results-Oriented: Demonstrable success hitting or exceeding sales targets.
  3. Relationship Builder: Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to influence at all levels.
  4. Self-Starter: Able to work independently, organise your territory and drive results.
  5. Process‑Driven: Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  6. Communicator & Negotiator: Clear, persuasive verbal and written communication; confident in closing deals.

Desirable

  1. Previous experience in an Aftersales environment
  2. Familiarity with metrology or inspection software and services
