Gatehouse Primary Academy in Dawlish is seeking an Out of School Club Playworker for 8 hours per week during term time. The role focuses on safeguarding, assisting with activities, and supervising meals after school, within a supportive team.

DBS enhanced disclosure is required and the post aligns with the school’s safeguarding policies. The position can be combined with the Mealtime Assistant role; applicants should indicate interest in both when applying.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children/young people essential
• Pastoral support experience beneficial
• Ability to follow school behaviour policies essential
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues

Responsibilities

• Safeguard children during the afterschool period
• Prepare and assist with activities for the children on site
• Supervise meals/snacks as required
