Job summary

An educational institution in London is seeking an After School Club Playworker to supervise and provide care during term time. The ideal candidate will organise engaging activities, demonstrate good communication skills, and work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a happy and safe environment for children. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, and knowledge of first aid is a plus. The contract is permanent, requiring 14 hours a week.

Overview

Position: After School Club Playworker

Salary: Scale 3, Point 5-6 (£10,720 – £10,873)

Hours of work: 14 hours per week Monday – Thursday 3:00pm – 6:00pm and Friday 3:00pm – 5:00pm - Term Time Only

Contract Term: Permanent

Closing Date: Monday 13th October 2025 at 9am.

Interviews: Monday 20th October 2025

Start date: Monday 3rd November 2025.

This position involves supervising children and providing after school care during term time. You will support the work of the After School Club Manager in developing and delivering stimulating, child-centred play-based activities.

Knowledge of first aid is an advantage and training will be provided.
