Job summary

A local educational institution in Stoke on Trent seeks a caring and enthusiastic After School Club Assistant. The successful candidate will create a safe and engaging environment for children aged 3–11. Responsibilities include supporting children, promoting healthy eating, and building relationships with families. Ideal candidates will have communication skills and a passion for working with children. This temporary position offers £1,679 - £1,755 actual salary for 3 hours per week during term time.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with children is preferred but not essential.
  • The ability to communicate and interact easily with staff and students is essential.
  • Knowledge of health and safety is helpful; full training will be provided.

We are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic, and responsible person to join our After School Care Club team. The successful candidate will help create a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children aged 3–11 after the school day ends.

Responsibilities
  • Support and care for children by providing a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Engage children in a range of fun activities and promote healthy eating; assist with snack preparation.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed.

  • Relevant childcare qualifications would be an advantage.
  • The ability to communicate and interact easily with staff and students is essential.
