Job summary

St Joseph's Catholic Primary School in South Woodham Ferrers is seeking a kind, reliable playworker to support children aged 2 to 11 during wrap-around care in a small, family-style setting.

You will contribute to safe, creative play, serve light snacks, ensure hygiene and safety, assist reading, and work with colleagues within school policies. Qualifications in childcare and Paediatric First Aid are desirable.

Qualifications

• Childcare experience or training is beneficial.
• Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates desirable.
• Experience with 2–11 year olds and play-based settings.
• Ability to understand diverse needs of children and families.
• Ability to provide safe, quality play experiences.

  We are a small school with a family feel and are situated in the heart of South Woodham Ferrers. Our Wrap Around Care is an integral part of our offer to parents, and popular with the children who attend. We have children attending aged 2 years old - 11 years old, so qualifications in childcare and paediactric first aid would be desirable. We are looking for someone kind and caring who will support children in their play. The provision is structured with time in our Opal Play playground, followed by a light snack for all children and time indoors accessing a range of games and toys. We also listen to the children read, and support them in their interests., Experience of working with 2 to 11 year olds
