Job summary

Saxon Hill Academy is seeking a dedicated Janitor to support the site team with routine caretaking tasks and to help secure the premises after school. You will work under the direction of senior staff, unlocking and securing the building at set times and ensuring safety for pupils, staff and visitors.

The role requires a willingness to learn, enthusiasm, and the ability to relate well with pupils and adults.

Qualifications

• Able to relate well with pupils and adults.
• Strong commitment to school security and safety.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of the site team.
• Flexible to support holidays and absence.

Responsibilities

• Unlocking and securing premises at agreed times.
• Provide routine caretaking tasks to support school operations.
• Work Monday to Friday 2.30pm–6.30pm with occasional holiday cover.
• Collaborate with senior staff to keep the building safe.
