Summary:
Responsible for supervising students in the school's extended care program, ensuring their safety and overseeing all activities.
Position Responsibilities:
- Supports the philosophy of Catholic education and the school's mission.
- Models Gospel values and adheres to school and Archdiocese policies.
- Maintains confidentiality and follows safety protocols.
- Protects sensitive information related to the organization, clients, and donors.
- Follows the Code of Conduct and Faith and Moral Policy.
- Promotes collaboration and commitment to the organization's mission and vision.
- At least 18 years old.
- Differentiates lessons and activities for various ages and abilities.
- Prepares materials and supervises children during activities.
- Assists with meal/snack times and clean-up.
- Ensures the site is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Participates in staff meetings and communicates with parents.
- Manages attendance records and other documentation.
- Builds positive relationships with children and fosters development.
- Interacts professionally with all stakeholders.
- Enforces discipline and reports incidents.
- Evaluates activities and participates in staff development.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience working with children/youth.
License and Credentials: Reliable transportation, valid driver license, vehicle insurance.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of child and adolescent development.
- Positive communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to facilitate age-appropriate activities.
- Risk assessment and mitigation skills.
- Teamwork and professionalism.
- Role modeling and asset-building with youth.
- Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, with good verbal/written skills.
