Job description

Spring Grove School - After School Care Assistant

Spring Grove School is seeking an enthusiastic After School Care Assistant with a minimum of Level 3 Early Years Childcare qualification. The role involves delivering engaging daily activities for children aged 2–11 years who stay after school, Monday to Friday during term time. The successful candidate will enjoy working with children and creating a relaxed, friendly, and enjoyable environment.

The role includes assisting with planning, leading, and supervising a variety of activities to ensure the After-School Club is popular and successful, providing children with a high-quality, stimulating environment.

Working Hours: 3.15pm to 6.15pm, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the smooth and organized running of after school care
  • Deliver engaging and fun activities
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment, ensuring equipment safety, hygiene standards, and safety procedures are followed
  • Manage and maintain club ratios and attendance registers
  • Accurately handle the registration process for attending children
  • Support children's social development through appropriate activities and assist other staff as needed
  • Set up and clear away equipment and activities before and after sessions
