Job summary

Oak Multi Academy Trust seeks an After School Assistant to support children aged 3 to 11 in a safe, welcoming wraparound care setting after the school day. The role runs Monday to Friday from 3.30pm to 5.30pm during term time only, with training and support provided.

The successful candidate will be caring, enthusiastic, reliable and able to work in a friendly team to help children thrive and feel secure.

After School Assistant - required as soon as possible until 22nd August 2027

Monday to Friday 3.30pm - 5.30pm, term time only

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable After School Assistant to join our wraparound childcare team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children in a safe, welcoming environment after the school day to enable us to support families outside of school hours.

Our very popular school educates children from pre-school through to Year 2 and is part of the Oak Multi Academy Trust.

The role involves supervising children aged 3 to 11 years, helping to provide engaging play and learning activities, supporting snack time, and ensuring children’s wellbeing and safety at all times.

We are looking for someone who:

• Enjoys working with children and helping them thrive.
• Can contribute to a friendly, supportive team.
• Is reliable, organised, and committed to safeguarding children.

Previous experience in a school, childcare, or play work setting is desirable, but training and support will be provided.
