The Scottish Council of Independent Schools is seeking After School and Holiday Club Practitioners to join their ePlus department. This role involves providing care for children, planning activities, and ensuring a safe environment. Candidates should be enthusiastic and responsible, with experience working with children. Flexible hours are available, and both unqualified and qualified practitioners are encouraged to apply.
The Junior School is currently recruiting for After School and Holiday Club Practitioners to join the ePlus department on a permanent basis. The positions are available immediately (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks). Hours of work will be between 1.30pm and 6.00pm or 3.00pm and 6.00pm (depending on site) Monday to Friday during term time, and on a rota basis (26.25 hours) during holiday periods. Flexibility is required for this role. It would be desirable if the applicant can work 5 days, Monday-Friday, but consideration will also be given to those available for 4 consecutive days. Unqualified Practitioners will be paid on ESMS e-Plus Scale point 8-11 (£12.21 - £12.57 per hour). Qualified Practitioners will be paid on ESMS e-Plus Scale point 13-16 (£12.83 - £13.22 per hour). The role is based at either the Ravelston or Queensferry Road site.
The purpose of the role is to provide full care for children attending the After School and Holiday Clubs, ensuring a safe, engaging, and fun environment. Key duties include supervising children, planning activities, maintaining a safe play area, liaising with parents, and supervising outings.
The successful candidate will be a kind, enthusiastic, and responsible individual who prioritizes children's interests and works well within a team. They should have experience working with children, be willing to work towards a recognized childcare qualification, and demonstrate strong organizational skills.
