Job summary

Matalan in the UK is seeking an experienced Affiliate Marketing Lead to own and execute the affiliate channel plan, aligning with overall performance and trading objectives. You will manage day-to-day partner relationships, optimize campaigns and spend, and collaborate with internal teams to drive traffic, conversion, and ROI while staying ahead of industry trends.

• 3+ years' experience in affiliate marketing or related performance channel.
• Experience with affiliate networks (ideally Partnerize or similar).
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data.
• Good understanding of ecommerce and digital marketing channels.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop within the role.

• Accountable for the management & efficiencies of spend in the Affiliate channels.
• Execute affiliate campaigns, including partner placements, promotional activity, and optimisation of live activity.
• Monitor performance against key metrics, identifying opportunities to improve traffic quality, conversion, and ROI.
• Work closely with internal teams to align affiliate activity with trade plans, promotional calendars, and key moments.
• Identifying and onboarding new affiliate partners and opportunities to drive incremental growth.
• Lead the testing and implementation of new innovations, tools, and partnership models within the affiliate channel.
• Ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and attribution of affiliate activity.
• Provide regular performance updates and insights, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activity to support continuous improvement.
