Job summary

Moog, UK, is seeking a Systems & Performance Engineer (Fixed Term) to translate customer requirements into robust technical solutions for high lift and secondary flight control products using analysis, modelling and testing.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams and suppliers, define validation activities, and contribute to RFI/RFP content while performing sizing analyses for hydraulic and electrical actuation systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Systems or Aerospace).
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with experience in performance analysis of complex mechanical systems.
• Experience with computer-based modelling and simulation techniques.
• Proficiency with MATLAB, Mathcad, Excel and Word; knowledge of DOORS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and manage customer technical requirements for new and modified flight control products.
• Generate and maintain documentation to flow technical requirements to suppliers.
• Determine compliance to specifications via analysis, similarity assessments and testing.
• Define and develop validation and verification documentation, test schedules and reports.
• Lead engineering analysis to size and characterize hydraulically and electrically powered secondary flight control systems.
• Apply modelling and simulation to evaluate actuation systems and product performance.
• Prepare RFI/RFP content for new applications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the product lifecycle.
