Job Description

Title: Systems Engineer

Location: Cambridge (Hybrid)

Seniority: 2-4 years of experience

Play a key role in delivering innovative aerospace system engineering solutions that support complex aircraft platforms. This role will see you working across the full engineering lifecycle, from requirements definition through to system integration and verification. You\'ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring robust designs and compliance with aerospace standards, while helping to deliver mission-critical capability to end users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage system requirements ensuring traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the definition of system architecture and interface specifications for aerospace systems.
  • Support integration, verification, and validation (V&V) of system-level designs.
  • Work closely with design, electrical, and mission systems engineers to ensure alignment across disciplines.
  • Apply systems engineering methods in line with aerospace regulatory and certification standards.
  • Provide technical input into reviews, ensuring compliance with safety and quality requirements.
Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Experience applying systems engineering principles in aerospace or defence environments.
  • Proficiency with requirements management tools such as DOORS.
  • Knowledge of system architecture, integration, and V&V methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • MUST be eligible for UK EYES ONLY security clearance

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with MBSE tools (SysML, Cameo, Rhapsody).
  • Understanding of safety and certification standards (ARP4754A, DEF STANs).
  • Knowledge of avionics, electrical, or mission systems integration.
