Job summary

Collins Aerospace is expanding its skilled fabrication team at the Wolverhampton facility. The role involves mechanical assembly, sheet metal work, fabrication, and welding of aluminium and steel components, followed by testing and final quality inspection.

You will read engineering drawings, assemble products through stages, and maintain traceability while supporting continuous improvement and welding certification readiness. On-site shifts require flexibility.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds or equivalent vocational qualification in fabrication, mechanical or engineering subject; time served considered.
• Proven hands-on fabrication experience with sheet metal.
• Experience working to high tolerance and accuracy requirements.
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools and interpretation of engineering specs.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly guidelines.
• Assemble and test productions through different stages.
• Work with the production team to meet project targets and deadlines.
• Support ACE activities (5s, TPM, Turnbacks, Clinics).
• Maintain LOT traceability and quality control.
• Continue training to welding certification requirements.
• Ensure a clean, organized workplace and compliance with safety standards.
