Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd in Southampton is seeking a Quality Technician to strengthen the Assurance Engineer function for the IR-detector line. You will influence product integrity, monitor quality practices from concept through to delivery, and collaborate across the lifecycle.

The role is based at the Southampton site with hybrid/ onsite flexibility. You will contribute to audits, data analysis, and continuous improvement in a supportive, learning-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality investigations and root cause analysis to improve product and process performance.
• Familiarity with internal product and process audits to drive improvements.
• Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO9001 quality management systems and quality tools.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and deployment of quality plans, processes and assurance activities across the programme and product lifecycle.
• Conduct quality investigations and root cause analysis to improve performance.
• Undertake internal product and process audits to drive improvements.
• Collect, analyse and report metrics from SAP, spreadsheets, databases and dashboards.
• Gain familiarity with AS9100 / ISO9001 quality management systems.
