Job Description

Satellite Aerospace Inc. is currently seeking a Quality Manager to join our facility located in Manchester, CT (Company of 20 employees). The primary purpose of this job is to provide quality support to meet company and customer quality requirements for aircraft small sheet metal products.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain quality system in accordance with company and ISO/AS9100 requirements. Responsible for the development, maintenance, improvement, and surveillance of AS9100.
2. Maintain and update the Quality Manual, procedures, and Quality Management System.
3. Coordinate quality system audits with customer technical representatives and/or auditors during onsite visits; prepare and publish written reports of customer audits; solicit written causes and corrective actions regarding audit findings; prepare and issue direct written correspondence in response.
4. Interface with internal and external customers and suppliers on quality-related issues.
5. Manage supervision, technical, and clerical employees responsible for Quality Standards Services activities.
6. Control Conflict Mineral and REACH flow-down and reporting.
7. Prepare and publish reports of third-party audit results; solicit corrective actions; respond to third-party audit findings.
8. Assist in solving manufacturing problems and implementing preventative actions. Develop and implement quality, productivity, and cost reduction projects.
9. Make disposition of non-conforming products and report appropriately.
10. Train company personnel in quality-related areas and maintain training logs.
11. Update SAM Government Registration.
12. Plan and conduct Internal Audits and scheduling.
13. Develop, train, and evaluate department personnel to support company awareness.
14. Control DQR’s certifications and recertifications.
15. Maintain Customer (PW LCS) controls, testing, and personnel certifications.
16. Maintain KPC (CPK) and report in customer portal.
17. Create and submit First Article Inspections (AS9102 forms), customer portal entries, and Inspection Xpert ballooning.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in quality management within the aerospace industry (5+ years).
• Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and FAI processes.
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• PRATT & WHITNEY End Product knowledge is required.
