Job summary

ODIN RECRUITMENT GROUP LIMITED is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our precision engineering team in a modern, clean manufacturing environment in Manchester. You will inspect sheet metal components and assemblies to verify conformance against drawings and customer requirements.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, using verniers, micrometers and height gauges, and operating Keyence systems.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Quality Inspector in sheet metal manufacturing or similar precision environment.
Experience in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing is desirable.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

Carry out detailed visual and dimensional inspection of sheet metal components and assemblies.
Interpret and work from engineering drawings, specifications and customer requirements to verify conformity.
Use a range of manual inspection equipment including verniers, micrometers, height gauges and other precision instruments.
Operate automated inspection equipment such as Keyence measuring systems to verify component accuracy.
Record inspection results accurately and complete quality documentation.
Identify non-conforming products and ensure they are reported and processed per procedures.
Support continuous improvement and maintain high quality standards throughout the inspection process.
Work safely and maintain housekeeping in line with 5S.
