Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking a Quality Engineer to own quality performance in a highly regulated aerospace environment in Coventry. You will ensure product safety, compliance and reliability across the full value stream and act as a technical specialist for product and process quality.

In this on-site role, you will drive containment, RCA and continuous improvement using 8D, 5-Why and related methods while collaborating with engineering, operations, customers and suppliers to uphold

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace or another highly regulated engineering sector.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100, AS9102 and general quality management system requirements.
• Proficiency in APQP, PFMEA/DFMEA, PPAP and root cause analysis tools.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• A proactive, hands‑on approach with excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Engineering/technical degree or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Supporting compliance with AS9100, AS13100, AS9102 and other aerospace quality standards.
• Conducting Layered Process Audits, product audits and process audits.
• Reviewing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) to AS9102 requirements.
• Leading containment, root cause analysis and corrective action using tools such as 8D, 5-Why and Cause & Effect.
• Driving Zero Defect and continuous improvement initiatives across the value stream.
• Analysing key quality metrics such as First Pass Yield, defect rates and audit findings.
• Collaborating with engineering, operations, customers and suppliers to resolve issues and improve quality performance.
• Supporting APQP activity including PFMEA, Control Plans and PPAP.
• Ensuring documentation, records and compliance evidence are accurate and up to standard.
