Job description

Infinity Employment is seeking highly experienced Aerospace Quality Engineers to work on behalf of our industry-leading client, specializing in providing engineering solutions to various sectors. Candidates must have used FAIR inspection reports. This project is based in Fareham for 12+ months starting June 2025, with a high likelihood of extension. Candidates should have an aerospace background and experience within a manufacturing environment. For suitable candidates, additional projects may follow.

Principal Responsibilities:
  1. Completion of FAIR Overcheck Inspections in accordance with quality right first-time expectations.
  2. Completion of FAIR Overcheck Inspections supporting timing plans.
  3. Implementing productivity and cost reduction improvements.
  4. Timely supply of products to customers.
  5. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
Experience:
  • Qualified Manufacturing / Quality Engineer.
  • Knowledge of aerospace quality management systems (AS9100 Revision D).
  • Knowledge of FAIR Presentation and AS9102 requirements.
  • Experience in compiling FAIRs, raising balloon drawings, and using Visual FAIR and overcheck requirements.
  • Understanding of customer approvals and specifications, notably Airbus and GKN Rolls Royce.
  • CAP accreditation (National Aerospace and Defence Contractors Accreditation Program).
  • Knowledge of special processes used in aerospace manufacturing (e.g., NDT, chemical processing, welding, heat treatment) and NAD standards.
  • Familiarity with batch/route card systems, mill cert information (composition, temper, machining).
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and team skills.
  • Knowledge of quality management tools and methodologies (e.g., APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, 8D, SPC, Control Plans, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Configuration Management, Risk Management, TQM, Poka Yoke).
  • Good project management skills.
  • Knowledge of problem analysis methodologies (8D, Ishikawa, 5-Why, DoE, DMAIC) and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent IT skills.
Working Hours:
  • Monday - Thursday: 8:00 am - 4:45 pm.
  • Friday: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.
  • Overtime: 1/4 after 37 hours Monday-Friday.
  • Saturday: 1/2 day.
  • Sunday: D/T (Day/Time off).

Pay Rates: LTD GBP28/hr, UMB GBP27/hr, PAYE GBP23/hr.

Expected hours: 37.5 to 45 hours per week.
