Job summary

Ultra Precision Control Systems in the UK aerospace sector seeks a Head of Quality Assurance to lead the QA function across the value stream, driving compliance, continuous improvement and regulatory adherence.

You will manage a team of QA professionals, partner with operations, engineering and customers, and ensure robust processes, audits and approvals (CAA, EASA, FAA) are embedded throughout the business.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Quality Assurance within design and manufacturing in aerospace.
• Experience with aerospace regulatory standards (CAA, EASA, FAA) and approvals.
• Proven leadership of cross-functional teams and audits.
• Strong root cause analysis and corrective action skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the QA function and ensure the business meets quality policy and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain a robust Business Management System and continuous improvement plans.
• Coach, mentor and develop QA teams; manage audits and supplier quality.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering and customers to embed quality across value streams.
• Lead corrective actions and ensure timely status reporting and KPI delivery.
