Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking a Project Accountant to support project performance through robust financial control, reporting, forecasting and risk management activities. The role reports to the Finance Manager and works closely with Project Managers and Work Package Managers to deliver accurate financial reporting.

This permanent position requires experience in project accounting within a complex environment and the ability to produce insightful management reports for decision making.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial controlling and project reporting.
• Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Knowledge of risk management principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial control and reporting across a portfolio of projects and programmes.
• Prepare and maintain project budgets, forecasts, cost reports, and financial performance metrics.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycles.
• Monitor project costs, revenues, commitments, and cash flow against budgets and forecasts.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Work Package Managers to ensure effective financial planning and control.
• Identify and manage project-related financial risks and opportunities.
• Produce clear management reports to support project reviews and decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and contractual requirements.
