Job summary

JRS Associates Ltd, in partnership with an established precision engineering manufacturer, is recruiting an experienced Business Development Manager / Sales Manager. You will develop new business, build strong customer relationships and drive continued commercial growth across aerospace and precision engineering sectors.

The role offers a salary of £50,000–£65,000+ per annum, with a bonus structure and a company car.

Qualifications

Proven business development or technical sales experience.
Background in precision engineering, aerospace or subcontract manufacturing.
Strong understanding of CNC machining, fabricated components or sheet metal manufacture.
Proven track record of winning new business.
Strong customer relationship management skills.
Experience dealing with RFQs, quotations and tenders.
Existing aerospace contacts would be highly advantageous.
Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills.
Self-motivated and able to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

Develop new business opportunities across aerospace and precision engineering markets.
Generate new customers and profitable long-term accounts.
Build relationships with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers and subcontract manufacturers.
Manage incoming RFQs and commercial opportunities.
Work closely with estimating, engineering and production teams.
Attend customer meetings and industry events.
Negotiate commercial terms and framework agreements.
Maintain an active sales pipeline.
Provide forecasts and updates to senior management.
Identify new markets and areas for business growth.
